About Buzzkillerz

Licensed Lawn and Pest Control, Done Right

Buzzkillerz is a north Texas lawn and pest control company built on a simple idea: the work should be done by people the state has actually licensed to do it. One team handles the whole property, from the turf to the pests.

Buzzkillerz treats lawns and homes across north Texas with one credentialed team instead of two separate vendors.

Most homeowners end up juggling a lawn company for the grass and a separate pest company for the bugs. Buzzkillerz does both, under both of the state licenses the work legally requires. That means one point of contact, one schedule, and one team that knows the whole property.

Owned by William Matheny, Buzzkillerz works across 19 cities in the DFW metro from a base in Colleyville. Every treatment is performed by a Texas-licensed applicator, documented after each visit, and built around what a specific lawn or home actually needs, not a one-size-fits-all package.

Two Licenses, Because the Work Requires Two

Texas regulates lawn-and-ornamental treatment and structural pest control under two separate licenses. Buzzkillerz holds both, and never applies a product without the right credential for that work.

TDA Category 3A

The Texas Department of Agriculture license required to treat turf, trees, shrubs, and ornamental plantings. Covers fertilization, weed and fungus control, fire ant and turf insect work, and tree and shrub care.

TDLR Structural Pest Control

The Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation license required for structural pest work. Covers mosquito control, termite inspection and treatment, and general indoor and perimeter pest control.

License numbers are published on quotes and treatment records as required by Texas law.

How Buzzkillerz Works

The same process for every property, lawn or pest. It starts free and never locks anyone into a contract.

  1. Free on-site evaluation

A licensed applicator walks the property, identifies what the lawn or home needs, and explains the findings in plain language.

  2. Written plan

A clear plan covering what gets applied, when, and how much. No surprises, no contracts to sign.

  3. Scheduled work

Treatments arrive on schedule. Each visit ends with a note on what was done and what to watch for next.

  4. Follow-up

Buzzkillerz checks back to confirm results and adjusts the plan as the north Texas seasons change.
